The Conference
From One Year to the Next
The National Conference on Citizenship Education closed the first year of the School of Citizenship and opened its second. It was held in the presence of the First Lady of Lebanon, Mrs. Nehmat Aoun, with UNESCO and the American University of Beirut taking part in the proceedings. The conference brought together schools, educators, partners, sponsors and guests.
The day celebrated the schools that carried citizenship education through Year One. It also set the direction for Year Two, as the programme grows from 150 to 300 schools across Lebanon.
