Schools are selected based on a set of general criteria that aim to ensure diversity and inclusiveness. These include:
- Geographic representation across all regions of Lebanon
- Involvement of both public and private schools
- Representation of different school contexts
- Willingness of the school to engage in the initiative and complete its requirements
Participating schools are expected to:
- Appoint a focal point to coordinate with the initiative team
- Complete the required questionnaires on the platform in a timely manner
- Encourage the participation of students in planned activities
- Engage collaboratively in trainings, discussions, and follow-up activities
- Provide feedback to support learning and improvement of the initiative
Teachers are asked to:
- Participate in trainings and workshops
- Contribute to school discussions and committees
- Share feedback and complete questionnaires when needed
- Facilitate and support student-led projects related to the initiative
Activities of the School of Citizenship Initiative are designed to be realistic and aligned with school schedules and curriculum. Schools are encouraged to distribute tasks among staff and work collaboratively.
Yes. Teachers who complete the training with CRDP will receive participation certificates in coordination with the relevant partner.
The platform allows schools to:
- Complete the Index questionnaire
- Fill the training form (identify what is the school needs and request a training)
- Access tools and follow-up materials
- Ensure organized communication and documentation throughout the initiative
Questionnaires should be completed collaboratively, involving school principal, teachers and relevant staff to ensure accurate and comprehensive responses.
Yes. Schools can save responses and return to edit them before final submission. We recommend reviewing all inputs before submitting.
Yes. The deadline for submitting the Index Questionnaire is 30 May 2026. Deadlines are communicated via email and announced on the platform. Timely submission is essential to ensure progression to the next stages of the initiative.

No. Applications for the current academic year are closed. Schools interested in participating are invited to monitor official updates and announcements for future cycles.
Yes. The School of Citizenship is designed to be a 5 year initiative. Additional schools will be considered in upcoming academic years based on program scope and resources.
